Juice Fast is now going by very slowwwwwwwww

I started a juice fast last Saturday, February 25th.  Nothing but fresh made juice in my awesome juicer and almond milk.  I haven't had any protein supplements/shakes.  This is just for 10 days, not for life.  I am going for a detox effect vs. weight loss.  I have had some criticisms, I thank you for taking the time to email me.  I have visited with my Dr. about this.  I feel very energetic and kinda fabulous, actually!

Today was a rough one because there was food everywhere at the office.  The office is the worst place to be, there are some major eaters here.  Today they had Manwich sandwiches, fresh made salsa and guacamole and some baked beans.  Yum, yum, and double yum.  But, I had some green goodness and a fresh apple juice for a 'treat'.  I bought an electric tea kettle for my office and have a big bowl of various tea bags, I drink a lot of hot herbal tea.  The 'no coffee' part of this was the worst, especially considering I started on a weekend.  Saturday and Sunday mornings at my house mean fresh ground coffee beans from about 7-11am.  I drink LOTS of coffee.  I was almost climbing the walls without it and had a terrible headache.  It passed.  I'm still alive.

Come next Tuesday, March 6... I can 'chew' again.  I have had lots and lots of sugarfree gum.  That wasn't originally part of the plan, but I added it after figuring out that this totally sucks.  If I had this to do over again, I absolutely would!  I feel great.  I have energy.  I'm happy.  I'm learning that I CAN DO ANYTHING.  Turns out maybe I don't 'need' pasta or cupcakes or lemon cheesecake.  It really does nothing for me, I keep learning and I keep becoming stronger.

  2. You're doing a great job with the juicing and giving up coffee completely during this time. From those I know who are coffee drinkers (I'm not), that in itself is a big accomplishment. Kudos!

  3. woo woo! Are you going to stay caffeine free?

  4. I have been on the juice fast for 20 days now and I have NEVER felt as good as I feel now. I'm not hungry, I'm more alert, I have more energy and best of all I'm not obsessing over food! Yes, I do miss actually eating but I'm only doing this for 30 days and then I'll be going back to a healthy balanced diet and exercise. Keep up the good work!

  8. I gave up coffee about 4 weeks ago and had really bad caffeine induced headaches. I miss the taste and the warmth of coffee now that I also drink herbal tea. But, I am slowly finding that I am okay without the 5 or so cups of java. Stay with it, you will reap the benefits.

  11. Are you going to reintroduce coffee? At the beginning of the year, I did a month without, and then I switched to decaf. ^^

  12. I read "manwich" and threw up a little in my mouth... ;)

I'm in awe, no hyperbole there, sweetie. I don't think I could do a juice fast on my own (I mean, if I were in the hospital or prison or something and could have only what I was given, sure. But to stick to it for that period of time on my own? I don't think I got the stones, grrrlll!) but you are KILLING IT...

Three more sleeps and you are done. And I bet you will feel all the better for not only what it's doing to you physically, but for having accomplished it. Godspeed, my little minion. Smash it!

  13. I think the office is where I struggle too. There is too much temptation from other people bringing shit in that I shouldn't be eating.

  15. Giving up coffee is tough! I wasn't even that hooked on it (just 2 cups per day) but when I quit drinking it in October, I had the WORST headache for days. But I felt so good after giving it up that I decided not to go back to it. I just drink tea now.

I'm glad you're feeling good on the juice fast!

just your articles? I mean, what you say is important and everything.
Nevertheless just imagine if you added some great pictures or video clips to give your posts more, "pop"!
Your content is excellent but with images and videos, this blog could definitely be one of the best in its niche.

  23. Hi there this is somewhat of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with
HTML. I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding expertise so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!

  25. I was wondering if you ever thought of changing
    the structure of your website? Its very well written;
I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better.
Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two
images. Maybe you could space it out better?

  29. With havin so much written content do you ever run
into any problems of plagorism or copyright infringement?
My blog has a lot of unique content I've either created myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my authorization. Do you know any solutions to help prevent content from being ripped off? I'd really appreciate
    it.
