Proper Form for a Squat - maybe, baby

Found this on a fitness Facebook page.  I don't know if the good form part is true or not, but he's still cute.

  1. that is good technique! There are a lot of postural techniques that look toward children as examples... the alexander technique and feldenkrais method are the two I hear of most. It's a big singer thing... how to most efficiently use your skeleton as a support and properly bear your weight.

  3. Wait - is that a wine glass strewn to his side? He is in a squat and can't get up.

Baby on bourbon - don't let this happen to you.

  5. Yup, sure is proper form. Hips below the knees, chest up, lumbar curve. We have it perfect when we are young, and then spend years messing it up. Squatting like this also helps knees, despite what people think. In fact, good squats cure everything- hips, knees and ankles if done properly. I love this picture!

  6. Is it just me that's focused on that glass and thinking... "Yep I squat like that too so I can pick it up for my refill!" all my little story bubbles would have much more to say while doing so however;-)
